Resolve Through Sharing (RTS) Bereavement Program for Pregnancy and Infant Loss
The RTS group is working with Hospice Family Care to develop an enhanced program to provide support to families who are grieving the loss their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. Information about the new RTS program will be included here when the group schedules its first meeting. If you would like to be notified when the first meeting is scheduled, please click here.
The bereavement experience
The grief process is a private and highly individual experience. It takes time when dealing with the loss of a loved one. There is no specific timetable, nor any required steps to navigate the grief process. While some people start to feel better in weeks or months, it may take years for others.
In 2012, the Bereavement Care Program was established to offer support to those who have lost a loved one. We recognize the importance of not only caring for our patients during their time with us, but we also want to care for patients’ family members.
